After two years, Xinkang Restaurant makes its return to Blunt Society this spring. For the 2026 edition of Xinkang Restaurant 2.0, Blunt Society has invited seventeen artists (and artist groups) from the international art scene to present a “lavish feast” exploring the multidimensional relationship between food and art. A large portion of the works on view has been specially commissioned by Blunt Society and is being presented here for the first time, extending from the exhibition space into the kitchen itself.
Continuing the distinctive format established in previous editions, throughout the exhibition Blunt Society will invite artists and guests to act as guest chefs. Taking advantage of the venue’s fully equipped professional kitchen, a series of “Flying Kitchen” events will take place. Through occasional invitation-only dinners and cultural gatherings, Xinkang Restaurant will transform Blunt Society into a one-of-a-kind “private art kitchen.”
